Coca Cola Cake - The Frosting

A Southern cake that uses Coca Cola in the cake and frosting. This is a favorite of my family's that I have been making for years. Cake: 2 cups unsifted all purpose flour 2 cups granulated sugar 2 Tablespoons cocoa 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 2 sticks unsalted butter 1 cup Coca-Cola ½ cup buttermilk 2 whole eggs 1 teaspoon pure vanilla 1-1/2 cups miniature marshmallows Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, soda and salt. In a saucepan, bring the butter and Cola to a boil and then add to the dry ingredients and mix with a mixer until well incorporated. Add buttermilk, eggs, vanilla and marshmallows and continue mixing until thoroughly mixed together. This will be a very thin batter with the marshmallows floating on top. Bake in a 9 x 13 inch baking pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray in a preheated 350° oven for 45 -60 minutes until a toothpick or cake tester comes out clean when inserted in the middle of the cake. Frosting: ½ cup unsalted butter 2 Tablespoons cocoa 6 Tablespoons Coca Cola 1 box or pound of confectioner's sugar 1 cup of chopped nuts, optional (I didn't use these) 1 teaspoon pure vanilla Combine butter, cocoa and Cola in saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour over the confectioner's sugar and mix well. Add nuts and vanilla and continue mixing until blended together. Spread over cake while hot. Completely cool cake before serving. Please note: The Original World of Coca Cola was opened in 1991 near Underground Atlanta. It was replaced and relocated in ...

Authentic Indian Curry Recipes

!±8± Authentic Indian Curry Recipes

Although I like to eat curry all my life, I've never been interested in cooking, Madhur Jaffrey and her TV series began in 1980. All of a sudden, complex blends of spices and a long list of ingredients has started to make sense. Madhur authentic Indian curry recipes inspired me to invest, not only in their book significantly titled Madhur Jaffrey Indian food, but at the beginning of my collection of spices.

Indian cuisine, Madhur not together with the other books, it isjust a cookbook. There are a lot of fiction ranging from Indian eating habits to the menu and what goes with what, what details about the spices and cooking equipment is necessary and as tandoori chicken, without a tandoor.

This book contains recipes for Indian food favorites such as Rogan Josh, but I suspect you do not see the same result as the dish delicious. There is also an authentic Goan vindaloo recipe for pork, which contrary to popular opinionshould not blow off his head.

And some very simple, authentic curries, there are dishes for dinner, as the whole leg of lamb in yogurt sauce (spicy Masaledar Raan). The lamb is a blend of almonds, onions, garlic, ginger, chili, yogurt, cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, salt and garam masala, which has also pushed into slits in the meat and marinade for 24 hours. Before the roast, cloves, cardamom are, cinnamon and pepper fried in hot oilthen poured over the joint. The dish is served scattered with raisins and almonds.

However, my best discovery of a recipe for spiced basmati rice, which is absolutely infallible. It is baked in the oven and, in fact, has changed so I need a microwave oven. The result is rice rather loose (no springs) with a great taste.
