* ¼ cup butter
* ¼ cup shortening
* 1 small can evaporated milk

* 1 teaspoon cinnamon
* ½ cup sugarmixed with cinnamon
* ¼ cup chopped pecans or walnuts, if desired
In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugar. Eggs, flour, baking powder, salt and milk. Pour half the batter into 8x8 inch buttered pan. Sprinkle with half the cinnamon sugar mixture. Pour into the pan and spread with remaining half of the mixture of cinnamon and sugar. Chopped nuts, if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour or until a toothpick inserted near the center, isto clean. Serves 10-12.
Coffee Cake Chocolate Swirl
* 1 cup sugar
* 2 cups flour
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 2 teaspoons baking powder
* ½ teaspoon salt
* 3 eggs
* 1 cup sour cream
* 2 teaspoons vanilla sugar
* ¼ pound of butter
* 1 small tin can or a bottle of chocolate syrup
Coverage
* 1 teaspoon cinnamon
* ½ cup sugar mixed with cinnamon
In a large bowl, combine the butter and sugar. Add the eggs one at a timeStir until completely mixed. Combine dry ingredients and add alternately with the sour cream mix. Add the vanilla and stir until smooth. The mixture in a pan greased 8x12 inches. Cut the dough into the pan of chocolate syrup (cut with a knife in a decorative pattern). Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon topping. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes. Serves 10-12.
